The Kent CCTV User Group is using a Kent Connects information sharing portal as a means to promote innovation, develop collaborative working and to share best practice and standards with its partners across Kent. This website, which is part of the Kent Connects web domain, enables its users to communicate and collaborate online in a safe and secure environment.

Code of conduct
Member Requirements
- To ensure healthy discussion and to protect other members we advise that all members read a abide by these rules and conditions.
- Members who have access to any personal data, documentations, reports, files, code of practices, procedure manuals etc, must not disclose to any third party.
- Members must note the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998, Humans Rights Act 1998, Kent Police and Home Office CCTV Guidelines with regards to Data Access.
- All data on the Kent CCTV User Group Portal is confidential and must only be used for the purpose for which it was generated.
- The responsibility and potential liability for inappropriate disclosure rest with the individual member and that person must be made aware of these statutory requirements.
- All data inputted onto the portal must support equality and diversity.
- Do not exclude or offend people or discriminate in any way.
- Do not use abusive or offensive terminology. The posting in all capitals is the same as shouting and as such is considered rude and offensive.
- Recognise the difficulties in communication and language in your correspondence input onto the portal.
- All members must agree, that you will not use this portal to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person’s privacy, or otherwise violative of the law.
- A board of representatives authorised by the Kent CCTV User Group will on behalf of the User Group, periodically audit individual members to ensure security, confidentiality and general conduct to the use of the portal.
- All complaints should be brought to the attention of the Administrator.
- These requirements will work in conjunction with The Kent Connects Legal Conditions (see attached documents).

The Kent Connects website is maintained for your personal use and viewing. Access and use by you of this site constitutes acceptance by you of these Terms and Conditions which take effect from the date of first use.

The names, images and logos identifying Kent Connects, government departments and their agencies, third parties and their information, products and services are proprietary marks of the Crown and/or third parties.
Copying or use of these logos accessed via this website is not permitted without prior approval from the relevant copyright owner.
Hyperlinking
You do not have to ask permission to link directly to pages hosted on this site. We do not object to you linking directly to the information that is hosted on our site. However, we do not permit our pages to be loaded into frames on your site. The Kent Connects pages must load into the user's entire window.

Kent Connects makes every effort to check and test material at all stages of production. It is always wise for you to run an anti-virus program on all material downloaded from the Internet. We cannot accept any responsibility for any loss, disruption or damage to your data or your computer system which may occur whilst using material derived from this website.

Privacy statement
If you are a user with general public and anonymous access, the Kent Connects website does not store or capture personal information, but merely logs the user's IP address which is automatically recognised by the web server.
We do not use cookies for collecting user information and we will not collect any information about you except that required for system administration of our web server. The system will record your e-mail address and other information if volunteered to us by you. This shall be treated as proprietary and confidential.
