Kent Connects, a partnership of Kent’s local authorities, has won a prestigious e-Government Award for its provision of electronic public sector services.

Kent Connects has been shortlisted for the BCS & Computing UK IT Industry 2009’ s Public Sector Project of the Year Award for the Kent Public Service Network (KPSN). Following an initial submission Jeff Wallbank gave a presentation to the panel of judges in October, and the results are due to be announced on 12 November.

A partnership of all Kent and Medway authorities is the first to achieve aggregated connection to GCSX (Government Connect Secure eXtranet).
