Course Description
INVITATION TO A FREE SEMINAR FOR KENT AND MEDWAY PUBLIC SERVICES STAFF
Sponsored by ![]()
I am pleased to invite you to attend a FREE seminar ‘Making flexible working a reality’, where we will be bringing together expert practitioners from both Local Government and Unisys, to discuss how to maximise the benefits from introducing remote, flexible and home-based work for public service staff.
As public service providers we are finding ourselves under increasing pressure to deliver a combination of cost savings, efficiency gains, front-line service improvements and staff benefits. Enabling staff to work more flexibly through remote, mobile or home working on either a full or part-time basis is one way to achieve these. However, while flexible working opens up a range of new possibilities for the way an organisation can work and structure itself, it also brings new responsibilities for both employee and employer.
How to make it work
You are invited to join us for morning coffee, to be followed by a series of case studies and discussions reviewing current work underway in ICT, Customer Services and Human Resources, as well as an insight into the supplier perspective from UNISYS and work underway with the Kent Public Service Network. The event will be facilitated by Dave Lindsay, Chair of Kent Connects and will include a buffet lunch and drinks.
I look forward to welcoming you to this seminar.
Debbie Wisdom, Strategic Director, Kent Connects
