This resource has been provided with the generous assistance of the Kent Improvement Partnership and I hope it will become an invaluable tool for planning and related staff in all authorities in the county.

However it will only ever be as good as the use we all give it so please:

• Log on regularly

• Use the message board to build contacts with colleagues in other authorities, share experiences and seek answers to knotty problems

• View the agendas and papers of KPOG and its various sub-groups and post suggestions for future topics and issues you would like to raise

• Upload reports and other material you think will be of interest to others

• Improve your work-life balance by arranging social events, learn about Planners Play Games and sharing anecdotes. Humour is important for us all!

• Advertise training opportunities.

KPOP is a potentially powerful tool so do please help to realise its potential by contributing to its content.
